Thank Goodness for Snow Pants

Every year, mommy has the same dilemma: Do we buy a new pair of snow pants or not? Well, Noni always talks Mommy into it and come January or February, we are so glad she did! We only have to buy one pair a year, since they just get passed down the line. A pretty good investment when we get a crazy week like this!

Anyway, it started out late Monday night with a crazy ice storm that woke us all up. Mommy said it was sleet and it sure did make the roads slick. So slick that we couldn't go to school or MOPS, or anywhere! Not to mention it never got out of the 20s the whole week! It wasn't pretty, it wasn't fun, and just when we thought we had had enough of the ice, we get dumped on again. Six inches of beautiful, fluffy, white snow! Soooo much better than ice. So, we put on our snow pants, and ventured out into the winter wonderland.

Getting all geared up.
Testing out our sleds on our street. Mommy and Daddy bought these last year at the ski store, just in case we ever got enough snow to use them. We have used them SO much in 2 winters!
Sledding. Our neighborhood is very hilly. Mommy said really bad for running. I say really great for sledding!
Fancy snow princess. Yes, that is real mink.
Cold and tired. Ready for our after snow snacks!
What a fun week!

FIVE Months!

Wow! These months seem to all be running together, huh? Mommy actually forgot about Samantha's 5 month celebration and we had to take the picture 2 days later. Well, S's life is finally getting a bit more exciting. Here is what she is doing at 5 months old:
  • starting to sit up better with mommy's help
  • rolling over and pushing up with her arms
  • smiling, laughing, talking, and interacting with us all the time
  • sleeping like a rockstar (most of the time)...12 hours at night and 2, 2 hour naps each day
  • trying, but not liking rice cereal...holding out for the good stuff
  • excersaucing
  • jumperooing
  • putting everything she can grab into her mouth

We think she was the perfect person to complete our family of 5! We just love her so much!

Is That a Monkey?

No! It's Abbie:). Now that she is 5 though, she is kind of like a monkey, because she can go the whole way across on the monkey bars.

Food Stuff

This post is all about food. Because our family loves to eat. Here is the new view of our kitchen table. Notice anything different???? There are 5 of us sitting there now! S is big enough for her high chair (I have to give a shout out to mommy's friend Sydney...it belonged to her veggie loving kids)! Mommy loves this picture. She also loves all of the people in the picture!
S getting ready for her first food adventure...whole grain rice cereal!
Most of it came right back out.
And just a couple of pics of our favorite snack. Fruit pizza. Brush a refrigerated pizza dough with a little butter, sprinkle on a little sugar, bake, spread with cream cheese, and top with your favorite fruit. So easy, we can do it ourselves!

XOXO,
AC
