Picture Drama!
Two year olds are so silly! Today, mommy and I took Abbie to get her picture made. Mommy started preparing Abbie for this the moment she got up this morning. They even practiced saying cheese and showing teeth for the camera. We all thought Abbie was going to love the camera as much as I do. Boy were we wrong! It took a good 20 minutes of mommy, Noni, Aunt E, and the picture lady making faces, tickling, waving a feather wand, tossing a ball, and holding a big foam heart. I was smiling the whole time...if she only knew how fun getting her picture made could be. Finally, Aunt E tried the feather boa, as a last resort. This is what Abbie wanted all along! She loved the boa and posed in all sorts of ways with it. Good job, Aunt E! And good job Abbie! You are beautiful and I love your 2 year old picture!

Our Park
Sorry, no pictures today...just sweet words from my heart!
Sometimes the quietest of days can turn out to be the most special and fun. Today was one of those days. It was one of those rare February days where it was actually warm. Not just warm, but sunny and all around beautiful. Mommy took us on a walk to our neighborhood park. Our park is really special in that it is nestled in the middle of a wooded area right next to a creek. I had a first today and mommy was really sad she didn't have the camera. I swang (is that a word?)...right next to my sister. We went high into the sky. I giggled the entire time. All that swingin' made me sleepy, so I decided to take a nap in my stroller. That gave Abbie and mommy some time to play. Mommy said they had races on the slide, looked for worms, and built a castle in the dirt out of sticks. Mommy also said that today was the first time in a LONG time that she actually just sat and listened to the birds chirp. What a fun morning we had! I hope to do it again really soon. Next time I'll make sure mommy has her camera. It's supposed to turn cold again tonight...actually, I hear the wind howling outside my window right now:(. I can't wait until spring.

The Land of the Free...
So today was "patriotic day" at Abbie's school. Abbie's teacher, Ms. Terry sent home a note saying that all the boys and girls needed to wear red, white, and blue, and that they would be marching in a parade through the church. FUN! I am super jealous and can't wait to go to school too! Anyway, this was the best mommy could come up with. Mommy said since 4th of July is in, well, July, then we didn't have any patriotic clothes to wear when it's 40 degrees outside. I think Abbie looks really great, don't you?

Sharing
We've been hearing a lot about this word at our house lately. Now that I am getting bigger, I want in on all the fun too. Mommy keeps reminding us (OK, mainly Abbie) that her and daddy bought all of the toys for Abbie AND Anna Claire. Now I know Abbie was here first, but I am part of the family too. So, we've been practicing sharing. Abbie is getting better. I feel like I am at a huge advantage here, because I am learning this important lesson at such an early age.
Here we are sharing a purple ball. This is a really fun game where you roll the ball back and forth.
Great Memaw Shults from Oregon knew this probably would be an issue, so she sent Raggedy Ann and Andy for Christmas. Abbie always shares, but for some reason she always has to have Andy.
Posing for the camera:)!
Mommy shared a cupcake with Abbie on Valentine's Day. Mommy said next year I could share too.
Just for fun, here is Abbie one year ago on Valentines Day. Mommy said we grow up too fast:(!

Aunt Erin got on to me today for not blogging enough. I am such a busy girl, but I promise to write more often. Sorry Aunt E...I love you!

We Heart Daddy!
Daddy and Abbie at the Fair...she was 10 months old.
Daddy holding me a looooooong time ago...when I was only 4 hours old!
Daddy helping us to carve a pumpkin last Halloween.
Mommy and Daddy. Mommy said I was in her tummy when this picture was taken.Today, Abbie and I are going to write together, because we asked Daddy to be our Valentine, and he said "YES!" The only thing, is that we have to share him with Mommy. That's OK. We heart Daddy so much, and here are 10 reasons why:
1. He gives the best piggy back rides, ever!
2. He talks to us in funny voices!
3. He always wants to keep us when Mommy needs to get out and do something by herself!
4. He lets us jump on the bed!
5. He takes us on fun outings, like to Bass Pro Shop or McDonalds!
6. He plays with us!
7. He prays with us!
8. He loves mommy so much!
9. He loves us so much!
10. He's the best Daddy in the whole wide world!

It's All About MEEEEEEEE!!!!!
I feel like I need to brag on myself tonigh. Don't worry, I'll brag on my sister soon. But for now, this post is all about ME! I am 6 1/2 months old. I can sit by myself and scoot almost anywhere I want to go on my back. I love to eat and I'm quite good at it, if I do say so myself. I have tried all the major fruits and veggies. Mommy refuses to feed her babies the "meat in a jar..." she says something about it smelling like canned cat food. I guess I'll have to wait until I have teeth to try the real thing. I eat those little toasty sticks and am learning to use my pincher grasp to pick up little puffs and cheerios. I can reach extraordinary heights in my jumperoo (I'll have to learn how to post a video...it's quite amazing)! I have a great laugh and I LOVE stuffed animals. I have even started babbling "Dadadada" and "Mamamamama." I love those people! I sleep 13 hours at night...straight! I am a really good baby and I love my family!
Here's me eating prunes. Mommy says something about prunes helping me out in the diaper department???
I love to smile for the camera.
I think I may be trying to play peekaboo...it is a super fun game!

Our Great Escape
I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! My Noni took us to the greatest place EVER this weekend. The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. We swam, played, ate, swam some more, and slept hardly any!!! I would go on and on, but pictures say it way better than I can...this place was great. Thanks, Noni!!! I love you so much!!!
Here is the kiddie pool where we spent most of our time. I know, it's unbelievable!
Check out my new swimsuit...cherries!
My sister was sooooo brave on the slide!
Everywhere we went, there were these big blocks of crayons. I sure do wish I could've gotten my hands on some of those.
Here we are posing for a pic in front of te storytime tree. Remember, the camera LOVES me. Abbie doesn't really care much about having her picture made. Mommy says something about her being 2???
Daddy and Hampaw missed out on all the fun. They were playing with the deer:). Maybe next time...

I LOVE Science!!!
Today was such and fun day! Mommy and Noni took us to the Museum of Natural Science. This might be my new favorite place. Who knew learning could be so much fun?
Abbie digging for dinosaur bones.
Here I am learning about shapes, sizes, colors, patterns, and textures!
Now we know where milk comes from. Abbie was not to sure about this...
YeeeeeeHawwwwwwww!!!
Fire girls to the rescue!

Where the Heck Is Mommy?!?!?!
So, mommy left Friday for what I thought was only going to be a quick run to the store for diapers or something. She never came back. It struck me a little odd when Daddy gave me my first bottle (I never drink bottles:)), but when daddy gave me my second bottle, I just knew something was up. Turns out, Mommy left for the WHOLE NIGHT and went to Canton with her good pals Sydney, Jill, and Stefani (aka, the gretches). She came back the next day with lots of goodies for the house, and my sister and me. She didn't tell us a lot about what else they did, but mommy seemed to have had a great time.
Mommy, it's OK that your left just this once....but please don't make that a habit!
The next night, Mommy and Daddy left again. But this time Grandma Pat came to stay with us. They only went to dinner, thank goodness! Happy birthday Mommy!
Here is mommy at her "pajama party." I hope I have good friends like this some day!
