What??? This day isn't all about ME???

I really think this is what Abbie thought about the wedding that we went to this past weekend. Mommy's cousin, Hannah, asked Abbie to be a special part of her special day. She got to be a flower girl! Mommy said that maybe someone will ask me to be a flower girl when I am 2. Oh, I hope so, with all my heart!

Flower Girl Abbie and Ring Bearer Garrett. You know what is so cool about this? My mommy and Garrett's Daddy were flower girl and ring bearer together when they were 2! We saw the picture:)....and Mommy sure did look a lot like Abbie.

Abbie and Garrett did really well walking together, without a grown up! I was really proud of them! You see that orange sack on the steps? That was Abbie's special present that she was supposed to get, and then go sit with us in the audience. Oh, and that handsome man in the suit is Ian, Hannah's groom.
This is the part when people started giggling a little. Abbie decided that she couldn't wait to see what was in the sack, so she sat down on the steps and checked out her present. She also threw out all of the little flowers from her basket that she was supposed to throw as she walked down the aisle. Mommy eventually had to go and get Abbie so Hannah and Ian could be married.
Our family...eating our special "peanut and chocolate free" cupcakes that mommy has to take everywhere we go. Gotta love the peanut allergy!
Abbie followed Hannah, a.k.a, the printheth, around the ENTIRE wedding. She even wanted to dance the first dance with Hannah and Ian. Hannah was a good sport and danced with Abbie some. Here they are "twirling."
My cousin, Tyler, playing a wedding announcement on his trumpet. He is really good! I think I want to play the trumpet when I am bigger!
Check me out with my Hampaw. I promise I will walk soon. I am so close! Just keep practicing with me, people!

And, finally, the beautiful bride and her groom. Thanks to Hannah and Ian for letting Abbie be a part of your special day. It was lots of fun. Congratulations to you both!!!

Over the River and Through the Woods...

To my Great Mama's house in Bono, AR we will go! Yep, we loaded up the Tahoe and went on our longest family road trip yet. It took about 7 hours, but we did great...thanks to the new DVD player mommy and daddy had installed. Abbie can't stop talking about "Arkansas" and we can't wait to go back, hopefully next summer. Some pictures from our visit...

Thank goodness mommy timed our trip around nap time. I needed my beauty rest before I met all of my cousins.
Gracie, Me, Great Mama, Maddie, and Abbie. Cole was not really interested in being in this picture...but he is 2 just like Abbie, so obviously, we understand:).
Soybean fields...as far as the eye could see in Bono. Now we know where our Dora Edemame comes from!
Daddy, Me, and Mama.
Big hugs for our Great Mama!

We have some family members that live far away, and we don't get to see them often. But it sure is fun when we do! Thanks, Mama, for having so much fun with us:)!

Disaster

I am sorry my blog has become more about current events, than the life and times of me. But this event has disrupted the lives of many people that my mommy and daddy know and love. You all know that hurricane Ike came through with power and destruction to many places along the TX coast. But the place that was devastated that is closest to our hearts is Shoreacres, TX. Mommy and Daddy lived there four years. It is also home to Houston Yacht Club, which apparently is also a very special place to them. This city has seen devastation that we have not yet seen on the news, because it still has limited access. It was very hard for Mommy and Daddy to see pictures of the aftermath, because it has not been that long since they were residents. They saw beautiful houses on the water front that had been completely destroyed, boats littered all on the YC lawn, huge trees laying on top of homes, and water surrounding nearly every home in the city. Mommy and Daddy ask that you please keep these families in your prayers as they return home and realize they have lost all of their possessions. You can see the devastation for yourself HERE.

I promise to be back this week to blog about all of the fun I've been having. It just didn't seem fitting right now, when so many people have lost so much.

Love,
AC

The Hills

First of all, please don't judge me or my mommy for watching this show. It is in no way an indication to the type of people we are. We do not talk, dress, or conduct relationships like anyone on this show.

That being said...Mommy and I got to watch a special Sunday night episode together last night, while Daddy and Abbie were at a friends house, watching the Cowboys game. I must say that watching this show has brought some new light on adult telivision and why I am usually not allowed to watch it. If you have never watched this before, it is entertaining, but probably not worth your time. I know mommy could have been doing MANY other things during this 30 minute episode. I just wanted to post a few observations about what I saw last night...

  • How can a girl, not much older that myself, afford to drive a shiny, black, mercedes convertable?

  • Why does that Heidi girl let that Spencer boy be so mean to her? She needs to tell her mommy on him.

  • Why are their clothes so tight? Aren't they uncomfy?

  • What is that black stuff streaming down their faces when they are crying?

  • Why are they crying?

  • and finally...Isn't my mommy WAAAAY to old to watch something like this on TV?

I'm glad tonights episode comes on after my bedtime. Mommy said she would fill me in on LC and Audrina's rocky friendship...but I think I'll pass.

Bring on Max and Ruby!

Dinner and Dancing

Going out to eat at a restaurant is lots of fun. Going to a restaurant that also has dancing...the most fun EVER! Last week, we went to Southern Junction with our good friends. We dined on mini corn dogs, french fries, steak, baked potatoes, and crakers. After dinner, we hit the dance floor for some crazy moves...

Abbie and Jameson. Mommy said we may have to get this picture back out in about 15 years.
Freestylin'...Kye, Abbie, and Jameson.
Two steppin' with Daddy.
I know, I know...by not walking, I miss out on all the fun. I am starting to rethink this not walking business. It's just so much fun being carried around everywhere:).
Stay tuned for more adventures from our family. Last weekend we went to Bono, Arkansas. Don't you know there was some action happening in that town:)!
