Following in Daddy's Footsteps

My Daddy is a sailor. He knows a lot about boats and wind. Someday, I hope to be a sailor too! Daddy says not to worry, cause it's in my blood...whatever that means.

Saturday, after swimming and dinner at the yacht club, Daddy took us out for a sail. My first time ever on a sailboat! We got to play with a bunch of ropes and feed the fish over the side of the boat. Did you know fish like Gerber Puffs, too? Abbie and I were very brave, and although I really didn't like wearing a life jacket, I think I'll go sailing again soon.

Here's Abbie helping Daddy clean the boat, before we went out.
So many ropes! A girl could get caught in here!
Since Abbie is older than I am, she got to drive. Daddy said that I can drive next year...I can't wait!

my mommy can't believe that you guys got to ride in a boat with an open cockpit! that was her big argument against the boat my daddy wants. but now mr. ryan has proven that toddlers can ride in boats with open cockpits. mommy has no plans to share this post with my daddy!

Ok, my daddy saw the picture and he said, "OK, Ryan wins, this time!" Daddy says I am too fidgety to take out on a boat like that anway. Sounds like Daddy is a little jealous.
